With a 20 minutes drive from Taormina we reach Forza d'Agrò, a traditional small Sicilian village. Take a walking tour of the old town and visit the sites where the Godfather movie was filmed.
Next we will reach Savoca, the second Sicilian small village used as set for the movie. See the famous Bar Vitelli where Michael Corleone met his future wife Apollonia's father. Visit the Saint Lucy Church where they got married.
During the walking tour your guide will introduce you to the real history of Sicilian Mafia, explaining how it grows up and spread very fast all around Italy. You will listen about the real structure (cupola), about its boss and clan wars to control the territory. You will also discover how two Sicilian Officers (Falcone and Borselllino), thanks to some "Mafia repented men", were close to discover the truth about Mafia and its collusion with Italian politicians...and you will get to know how it really ended up with them.
At the end of the tour we will sit down in a nice trattoria where you will be served a typical home-made Sicilian pasta dish and a glass of local red wine.
Drive back to Taormina after lunch.
