Rome: the celebrated past and the irresistable La Dolce Vita of Rome today. Rome’s warm temperature and cobbled streets are ideal for an open air golf cart. We’ll start with an orientation of the centre and then head up the River to the most Roman of Roman neighbourhoods: Testaccio.
A slice of Roman life, Testaccio boarders the Aventine Hill and the tiber river. Romulus and Remus washed up ashore nearby on the Tiberina Island. Testaccio by foundation has a fascinating and unexpected past involving thousands or Amphora, ancient clay pots. Today it is a great place to visit thanks to the charming architecture, historical delis and sprawling market: evidence of Testaccio’s strong affiliation with Roman food.
There will be the chance to taste and enjoy local flavours in the market such as suppli, prosciuto, cheese and pizza. Then our journey will continue up to the Aventine to enjoy specatacular views of Imperial Rome.
