The Walks Inside Rome team

Looking for a creative way for your kids to enjoy Rome?! This 3-hour art tour is brand new and especially designed for young masters in the making. Italy is the birthplace for many great artists, designers, sculptures, and architects.

To name just a few, Michelangelo, Bernini, Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli and Caravaggio all hail from here! Rome in particular is adorned with plenty of stunning artwork, perfect to inspire your kids. Best for families with children between the ages of five and fifteen, this interactive tour combines sightseeing, hands-on art-making, and even a sweet gelato surprise!

First, choose which site your family would like to explore: there is the mighty Colosseum, which never fails to inspire and offers a perfect template for children's illustrations. Or Castel Sant'Angelo, where kids can feel like knights as they discover this complex fortress which houses Renaissance art, a prison, and the Mausoleum of an Emperor.

The other includes exploring Rome's Marble Zoo, the collection of lions, elephants and beasts on display throughout the historical center. After being properly inspired, a children’s illustrator will offer a hands-on drawing workshop within a beautiful 17 th Century Palazzo near Piazza Navona. Here, your children will be able to create their very own masterpiece based on the sites visited. They will be able to make a truly original keepsake from Rome! The workshop concludes with a display of everyone’s artwork while enjoying refreshing drinks and homemade gelato.
