Tour description

Looking for a creative way for your kids to enjoy Rome? This 3-hour art tour is brand new and especially designed for young masters in the making. Italy is the birthplace of many great artists, designers, sculptures, and architects.

To name just a few, Michelangelo, Bernini, Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli and Caravaggio all hail from here! Rome in particular is adorned with plenty of stunning artwork, perfect to inspire your kids. Best for families with children between the ages of five and fifteen, this interactive tour combines sightseeing, hands-on art-making, and even a sweet gelato surprise!

First: Choose your destination

To start your adventure in Rome, you get to choose which site your family would like to explore: the mighty Colosseum, the complex Castel Sant'Angelo, or Rome's historical Marble Zoo. Each destination never fails to inspire and offers a perfect template for your children's illustrations.

The Colosseum is undeniably one of Rome's most famous attractions. This once active arena housed gladiators, wild animals, and many spectators, but it also boasted great statues under its well-known arches. Its connection to ancient Rome's both powerful and layered history makes this destination a great place to learn about Roman history and architecture.

Castel Sant'Angelo is a place where kids can feel like knights as they discover a fortress that houses Renaissance art, a prison, and the Mausoleum of an Emperor. After experiencing this long standing monument and seeing the amazing view from the top, your kids are sure to find the inspiration to create their own work of art.

The other option offers the discovery of Rome's Marble Zoo. The historical center of Rome, including its most famous squares and fountains, houses many marble statues of animals, including lions, elephants, and other beasts. See these great stone masterpieces for yourself and become inspired to create your own work of art.

Next: Create your own masterpiece

After being properly inspired, a children’s illustrator will offer a hands-on drawing workshop within a beautiful 17th Century Palazzo near Piazza Navona. This is where your children will be able to create their very own masterpiece based on the sites they visited. Once they are finished, they will have a truly original keepsake from Rome!

Because creating your own souvenir is hard work, enjoy refreshing drinks and homemade gelato while the young masters display their new creations for the group.
