We were two couples who joined the Italian Sunday Lunch with Farmers Market Shopping tour on September 13. It was a shared experience with a total of five guests, plus Chef Michela. We met Chef Michela at the local market, where she shared ideas and inspiration for our cooking class. We then headed to the kitchen, where we started with delicious pizza made by Chef Michela and a glass of Prosecco before getting started. Our menu was absolutely delicious. We made ravioli filled with ricotta cheese and lemon zest, served with a sage, butter, and cream sauce. We also prepared polpette (meatballs) in a wonderful pomodoro sauce with zucchini leaves, zucchini and pumpkin plus a fresh pomodoro salad. For dessert, we made a refreshing peach and basil sorbet with lemon zest. Everything was enjoyed with Chianti wines, both white and red, which complemented the meal beautifully. This was, without a doubt, the best cooking class we have ever experienced. The atmosphere was so relaxed and laid-back, and there were lots of laughs throughout the entire experience. Chef Michela was wonderful, and we truly felt like we were spending the day cooking and enjoying a meal with friends. A fantastic experience that we would highly recommend!
