Tour Description

Indulge in Rome’s rich pasta culture in this all-encompassing pasta course. Learn about the timeless cucina Romana (i.e. Roman cooking) in this three hour course with one of our expert chefs. 

Begin your afternoon in our 17th-century palazzo turned cooking school by sipping on a flute prosecco and nibbling freshly-made Roman appetizers. Settle into our state of the art kitchen and dining room before beginning your journey into the magical world of Roman pasta. 

First, you’ll roll up your sleeves and dive into make the perfect fresh pasta dough – smooth and stretchy. Your chef will carefully explain the trick to striking the perfect balance between wet and dry ingredients and kneading the dough. 

Then, it’s time for the really fun part – the sauces!

Rome is best known for its complex and tangy pasta sauces, like Carbonara, Cacio e Pepe, and Amatriciana. You’ll learn how to craft these mouth-watering sauces using fresher-than-fresh, seasonal ingredients. All the while, your chef will enlighten you with the curious histories behind each dish and explain the classic cheese pairing for each sauce – be it a tangy pecorino or savory parmigiano.
