Tour description

The most sensuous way to enjoy Rome is through eating. So what better way to indulge yourself during your time in the Eternal City than by exploring its flavors and culture with a local food and wine expert. But why end there when you can then venture into Rome's historic centre and learn how to make fresh pasta in a seventeenth century palace.

Our Rome for Foodies tour will introduce you to the best food and wine Rome has to offer. Your culinary journey begins in Campo de ’Fiori market, Rome’s historic food market. In the square's historic bakery, you'll see how Rome’s particular ‘Taglio al Forno’ is made. Choose from the array of strips of pizza adorned with seasonal specialities and local toppings. We'll also introduce you to the delicious Roman treat that is suppli: fried rice balls oozing with mozzarella cheese - before rounding off with salami and cheese tasting in one of Rome's most exquisite delis.

Then travel to either our location behind Piazza Navona or our new location just steps from the Pantheon to learn the artisanal craft of fresh pasta making with a professional chef. You will enjoy the fresh pasta you have prepared as an elegant lunch under a beautiful frescoed ceiling. To finish their will be a hot shot of espresso, Tiramisù or gelato and a naughty limoncello!

Take the opportunity to chat with your guide and learn all about Roman food culture and Italian culinary traditions.
