Definite must do
I would recommend you do this tour early in your vacation. The information shared will help you decide where to eat the rest of your trip to get the best authentic food. Our guide was Luca who was personable and knowledgeable and gave us the best customer service. We had a gluten free member of our group and Luca made sure each location had an option for her while we ate more traditional fare. You go to what feels like authentic restaurants and eat some of the best food we had while in Italy. Highly recommend and request Luca for a great time.

Eat like a Roman
This was a wonderful introduction to Roman food and dining customs. Sara led us on a culinary adventure showing us how Romans shop, snack and eat. Along the way she was an entertaining one woman show. She loves food and loves sharing her knowledge with you and the food was excellent. Highly recommended!!

Calling all foodies! Meet Max at the Navona square and eat your way through City Center/ Trastevere
W wae are foodies, so when the opportunity arose for us to have a walking food tour, we didn't let jet lag get in the way. What a foodies delight! Our guide, Max is a chef by training, and a first class guide--knowledgeable, warm, friendly, attentive to all. We strolled through Rome nibbling on cheese and hard salamis here, 2 different kinds of pizza, then porchetta, and of course, gelato. There were a few more stops--6 or 8 in total; (all with wine, which is why I can't remember the specifics.) Max explained about the food--how it is made, and brought our attention to details that define the flavor. He put these gastrological delights into the context of the larger culture--simply ingredients, carefully prepared and presented with love. Here in Italy, food is love. P.S. Remember to pace yourself along the route. So much to enjoy!

Excellent Tours and Service! Highly Recommend!
We used WIR for a food tasting tour in Trastevere and also for our tour to the Vatican. Both tours were EXCELLENT. Our tour guides were locals and very familiar with their subject matter - our food tour guide, Sara, led us through the winding roads of Trastevere and filled our bellies with delicious food and gelato. She gave us a history lesson about some of the locations where we stopped to eat, and seemed to know almost everyone she passed in the street. She was extremely easy going and comfortable to be around. She really made us feel like family. Highly recommend her!

OUTSTANDING TOUR COMPANY
Walks Inside Rome is the best tour company we have ever used. On-line booking was so fast and efficient, we decided to sign up for three different tours with them rather than trying different companies. All of the guides and tours were excellent ... our second tour was the Trastevere Evening Food Stroll with Sara, which was a fun window into uniquely Roman cuisine.
